Seriously- yukari_rin visiting two months early, and refusing to go on the Jungle Cruise ride because she was afraid of water and the boats had been replaced by dirty dog water bowls (WTF?!)-WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Also, everyone who went on the ride got a baby. Like, they were GIVEN a baby. Mine was actually really cute, but her mom wanted her back, so I returned her. o___O

Started a few new classes-Philo 1 and Pol Sci 7. Philosophy is pretty interesting-it really is one of those subjects best learned in a classroom environment, and I really end up thinking in class, instead of staring off boredly into space. Teacher's interesting, too.

Been thinking over possible themes for the February Challenge at fsn_fiction. My current favorite is "the language of flowers", because it lends itself well to romance, but does not necessarily have to be taken in a romantic light and would fit well with that LancerSakura I want to write.

Uuuuuuuuguuuu~~~~. It is currently hotter than hell right now, and has been for the past week or so, which is why I haven't posted earlier. Yahoo says it's only 78, but Yahoo is a big fat liar who is currently NOT sweating out half their body weight right now like yours truly. It's been so bad lately I actually haven't gotten alot of sleep for the past few days-it's simply been to hot to do so. Times like these make me want to ask for AC for Christmas. @______@ Dad's always been against it, on the basis that it doesn't get hot often enough to warrant it (CHEAP OLD MAN!!!!), but if this heat wave keeps up, even he's going to crumble. Right now I'm dealing with a fan going full blast, lots of ice cold C.C.Lemon, and my choco-coffee popsticle sticks, once they finally freeze.

School's officially been in session for about a week now, which, of course, means my asshat plot!bunnies are up and swarming, now that I actually have important things to be doing and less free time. Frankly, the sleep-deprivation and mirage inducing heat aren't helping things any.

Animaniacs aside, I think my boss is doing a passive-aggressive revenge for me asking the weekend off for Comic-Con. Seven straight days of work...@____@...at least this means my next paycheck won't be small.

That's right, by the way. From July 27th-29th, I'll be at Comic-Con International in San-Diego. I doubt anyone on my f-list will be there, but if you are, let me know! Meeting up would be fun. ;)

We've gotten one entry so far for the fsn_fiction July challenge. There's still a little more than a week left, so I'm holding out hope for more entries, and will try to get one out myself.

Fanfic-wise, I haven't written anything myself recently, although I'm pleased to see that F/SN finally has it's own category at The Pit, and I've even started an Archer x Rin C2 community. I've been tossing around the idea of claiming Archer x Rin as a pairing for 30_kisses. It'll be tough, as I'm not yet totally confident with my handle on Archer as a character, or my ability to make his relationship with Rin true to canon, but I want to at least try. Claims are opening up again on August 1st, so I do have some time to think about it. Carpe diem and all that.

Ugh, I'm starving, and there's a really good garlic chicken CPK pizza in the freezer, practically begging to get eaten. But I'm so comfy on my bed...Decisions, decisions.

After much, MUCH schedule conflict, I finally managed to meet up with Boeken at his place on Monday. He and his girlfriend managed to translate 9 pages of my Archer x Rin doujinshi, Ease, and one one-shot komi before we had to call it quits. I'm definitely very pleased with how much we got done in just a few hours, though. Hopefully next time we'll finish the entire doujinshi. Archer x Rin scanslations for the greater good! XDDDD

Put up the May challenge for fsn_fiction. I'm pretty happy with Dance, which is our theme this time. Mainly because I have all these hilarious mental images of the F/SN Masters and Servants having a dance-off to determine the winner of the Grail. Can you imagine, say, Lancer doing Irish Step Dancing? Yes, I have been listening to Riverdance music lately. Why do you ask? Of course, Archer and Rin would do a really sexy tango-set to Firedance, of course. HOT.

Nrrgh...I'm so fucking tired from work. I feel like the only thing that's keeping my brain from leaking out of my ears is that my body doesn't even have the energy to do that. So I'll make this brief. <3

Why so tired? I was up until 3 in the morning, working on my lovely new F/SN anime moodtheme. It's the first one I've made entirely on my own, and I'm pretty damn pleased with the results. All the characters are represented(with the exception of Zouken and True Assassin, who I couldn't find a good shot of and didn't show up at all respectively), although the ones I really dislike are only in one (Shinji, duh). I even got Bazette in there (okay, all you see is her arm, but it's her, so STFU), and she only appeared for .231231 seconds. And if you happen to noticed that Archer and Rin are especially well represented...well, I never said I wasn't biased. ;) I'll put the rundown of who appeared how many times later, but I have to say the one I am most proud of is this. Thank God for the Realta Nua commercials, otherwise it would have been impossible to include her.

Today is also the last day of the fsn_fiction April Challenge. Either Kat or I will set up the voting, so everyone get out there and vote, especially since there is more than one entry this time! *headdesk*

Also: I pronounce this as the most cracked out OP ever. Congrats, Lucky☆Star! But a big thanks to Azumanga Daioh and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu for participating.

As is obvious, I'm putting off GH for the moment to finish the March Challenge fic (which is Archer x Rin of course...and my very first lemon -____-). Once I'm done I'll be concentrating my full attention on finishing up chapter 3. I got Kung Fu Hustle on DVD, so hopefully I can use Donut's fighting scenes as a source for any Lancer action I do(they're both spear wielders).

It's mid-March, which means it's officially So.Cal's cue to start fucking with the weather. Sweltering days and cold nights-fun for the whole family! Not.

And dammit, I want my paycheck. There's stuff I wantneed to buy. Like the Gals! Season 2 box set. *counts days till the 31st*

Had a job interview today. I think it went pretty well, although I'm still hitting myself for saying "I clean up nicely" as one of my good qualities. At any rate, the manager liked how flexible my schedule is and the fact I'm so familiar with the company. I'd be more optimistic, but the manager said there was only one extra spot open, so right now I'm on cautious hope.

Dammit, I need this job! How else am I supposed to buy the second F/SN DVD?

And lack of participation at fsn_fiction = very depressing. There's sadly not much else I can do besides write and write until more people besides just me are keeping the community alive.

I have to say, the ladies at Asahi Ramen really are amazing. Not only is their ramen fresh-made and incredibly delicious(damn, their shoyu ramen is SO FUCKING GOOD), but they also manage to carry the super-hot ramen bowls with their bare hands. My latest theory is that they had kevlar surgically implanted under their skin. While I was out I bought some really cute little F/SN figurines. I love the little Archer I got. It's cute, but has this perfect little "fuck you" look on its face. I just need to get a Rin so I can do my shipper ritual: put the figurines next to each other and say "Now makes babies! Maaaaaaaaaakkkke babbbbbbbiiiiiiiiieeeeeees!!!!" about twenty times.

Yeah, I'm not a right girl. XD But my sis finally found our hysterical Forbidden Hollywood CD, so who cares? *belts out Summer Movies*

In other news, I'm finding the lack of participation at fsn_fiction really disheartening. I'm afraid the community will die, so I have no choice but to just write as much as possible. Talk about an army of one. XP I was going to give myself a few more days, but now I'm going to try to get the latest chapter of my Archer x Rin fic out tonight. I may even join the boards at Beast's Lair to advertise the community, although I don't really feel up to it. But first, something to eat. If only I had some sticky rice to put in my onigiri mold. REI LOVES THAT SHIT. ;___;
